Czech President: "Europe and Islam Are Not Compatible"

PRAGUE The Czech President Milos Zeman has spoken out against  Muslim immigration to Europe. "We respect the Islamic countries and their beliefs, as long as its inhabitants do not come to Europe. Because as soon as they come to Europe,  two cultures collide that are not compatible with each other," he said  in an interview with the state news agency TASR. Muslims have yet to have been assimilated in any European country. This proves the incompatibility of Islamic and European culture.
The EU Member States, urged Zeman, should rather invest more in securing the EU's external border than in the reception of refugees.
His country would have received no  asylum seekers,  had they not gone through secure countries before arriving in the Czech Republic. "To bring this stream of refugees under control, means not only to have  the police but also the army sent to the borders and in order to encourage the return of illegal immigrants. Precisely for this reason, because we are not the most secure country  for them," quoted the Austrian news agency APA Zeman as saying. (KRK)

Bishop Fellay Blesses Crib in European Parliament

(Brussels) At the invitation of the Italian MEP Mario Borghezio (Lega Nord) and the initiative of the Civitas Institute, the Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X,  visited the European Parliament in Brussels, and blessed a nativity scene there.
The large crib is located in one of the central, public halls of the parliamentary representation of the European Union in Brussels.  MEPs  from France, Great Britain, Greece, Portugal and Italy, parliamentary staff and EU officials gathered to be blessed. In his speech  Alain Escada, president of the French Civitas Institute suggested that the baby Jesus in the manger should rule over all nations, since all power comes from God. For this purpose, he quoted the Pope St. Pius X,  as the 100th  anniversary of his death was commemorated in 2014: "The civilization must not be contrived, for it was, it is and it has been a Christian civilization, it is the Catholic society.  To restore it merely requires the unceasing renewal of its  natural and divine principles. "
Bishop Bernard Fellay said in his speech: "There in the mange is where it all started. So it is quite normal that Europe's guides, God the helmsman give Him glory, who came among man to save him, He, the King of Kings. Let us remember what Cardinal Pie said, 'When the moment for the lordship of Jesus Christ did not come, then the time has not come for governments to continue'. By the blessing of this crib, the Church is a connection between this place and the grace of God's love. This little place is a Sacramental for the benefit of all who come here to gather inside."
Bishop Fellay was accompanied by the District Superior of  Society of St. Pius X for Belgium and the Netherlands, Father Thierry Legrand is in the seat of the European Parliament. He stressed the importance of the initiative,   because of the increasing attempt to prevent the establishment of nativity scenes in France in public spaces and Advent and attempts to replace and reinterpret  Christmas Traditions with "Winter events" and "Year End initiatives."

Pope Francis to Speak Before EU on 25 November

(Brussels / Vatican) Pope Francis is coming on November 25 to address the European Parliament in Strasbourg.Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi confirmed this today in a press statement on the Pope's visit. The invitation came from European Parliament President Martin Schulz (SPD).
The invitation had been issued on March 19, 2013 on the day of inauguration of Pope Francis in Rome.Schulz said at the time: "I hope to welcome the pope  as soon as possible to send a European and universal message about the core values that are needed today more than ever."
The  President of the German Bishops' Conference and soon the European Bishops' Conferences (COMECE), Archbishop Reinhard Marx of Cardinal of Munich and Freising spoke of "very good news". The German cardinal sees a "strong signal by the Pope in support and encouragement of European integration". The Pope "recognizes the success of the European project and, not least, the peace dividend, for which the EU has received the Nobel Peace Prize." This second speech of a pope before the EU Parliament will underline the "continuing support of the Church for the high ideals of European integration" , says Marx.
Will Pope Francis  find critical words about the socio-political orientation of the EU, as  uncritical and statesmanlike occurred to the German Cardinal?
In 1988 Pope John Paul II had spoken to the European Parliament.. A speech by Pope Benedict XVI. did not materialize.

Brussels Casts Covetous Eyes on Famous Abbey of Monte Cassino?

Famous Abbey of Monte Cassino Belongs to the
State of Italy. Does the EU Cast Covetous Eyes on
Her?
(Rome), the Benedictine Abbey of Monte Cassino amazingly does not belong to the  UNESCO World Heritage sites, while it is like no other place for its spiritual and cultural heritage of the West and of the Latin monasticism.  When it was fought over during  the Battle of Monte Cassino in 1944 and destroyed by Allied air raids, the abbey is also inextricably linked with the horrors of the Second World War. Currently, there are some dark clouds over the ancient abbey which have to do with its juridical and administrative future, because what only few people know:  that the Abbey belongs to the Italian Republic and in the EU there seem to be secular mentalities who have thrown their eyes on iconic monastery.

1500 Year Old Abbey was Destroyed Three Times and Suspended Twice

In 529 the Abbey of the Holy Father monk Benedict of Nursia (480-547) was founded, which was named after him with the Benedictine Order as the cradle of Latin monasticism. Monte Cassino has since been regarded as the "mother of all abbeys." In her what will soon by her  1500 year long  history, the abbey was destroyed three times by human hands. The first time in 577 by the then Arian Lombards, then 883 by the Muslim Saracens and 1944 by American bombers. For a long time it was claimed after the war, German troops were entrenched in the monastery. Indeed, such did not consider  to spare the abbey from fighting. A strategic consideration, which the Vatican and this also the allies were informed. The recent historical research assumes that the Allies had rear view of the monastery was just annoying, which is why the British commander of the Allied forces in Italy, Sir Harold Alexander (1891-1969) gave the order to carpet bomb in February, which transformed the monastery in a rubble. Only the crypt with the grave of the holy founder was spared. He was reportedly standing in 547 and died during prayer at the altar as angels became visible taking his soul aloft into the sky before the eyes of his confreres.
Monte Cassino after the destruction
Monte Cassino after the destruction
According to various types of reports, 250-430 were killed during an air raid 250-430, especially refugees, who hoped to find safe refuge in the monastery, but also several monks. The survivors, including the abbot, were taken by the German side to safety. Previously,  units of the 1st Hermann Goering Parachute Panzer Division brought, by the unauthorized initiative of Lieutenant Colonel Julius Schlegel the invaluable library and precious works of art to safety in the Vatican. Only then did German units barricade themselves in the ruins of the abbey and kept the Allied attacks at bay for still some months. In the battle of Monte Cassino  around 20,000 German and more than 50,000 Allied soldiers fell. Monte Cassino has since been regarded as a symbol of senseless destruction.
Pope Pius XII. called for the rebuilding of the monastery in 1947 with the encyclical Fulgens radiatur as a symbol of the reconstruction of the Christian West. The Pope named the Abbey as the "home of mercy", which has so far survived all the turmoil of many centuries, as the monks returned again and again to the mountain above Cassino. The largely faithful reconstruction after the Second World War, especially with German and American help, was a sign of reconciliation in the joint cooperation of the former enemies. The abbey church was rebuilt in 1964 and consecrated by Pope Paul VI.  The last year  Pope Benedict made him the Holy Patron of Europe.

Abbot as Diocesan Bishop, Territorial Abbey as a Separate Diocese

The monastery has in the Benedictine Order in 1504 the rank of an Abbey of Cassianese Congregation. In canon law, the abbot not only has the rank of an Archabbott, but also  a diocesan bishop. The abbey has the status of a territorial abbey. The territory belonging to the Abbey is almost 600 square kilometers with about 80,000 inhabitants in 53 parishes, forms a separate diocese whose bishop is the abbot of Monte Cassino.
The reason for this canonical norm was the Italian unification in the wake of the Risorgimento. Already in 1807 it was dissolved once under Napoleon, where it was also ordered by the new Italian state in 1866, the repeal of the abbey and the monastery told unceremoniously in an act of confiscation as a "National Monument". Since then, the monastery has been owned by the state. Only at the beginning of the 20th century was the Abbey be reestablished under the protection of the Lateran Pacts.

Concordat protects Abbey before the State

To protect the abbey and monastic community as much possible from nationalization, the abbot was elevated to the rank of bishop after the signing of the Lateran Pacts of Pope Pius XI.. The abbey church has since, the rank of a cathedral and the monks form the Chapter with the rank of canons. To mitigate the precarious tenure, the abbey has since been under the protection of the Convention signed in the Concordat between the Holy See and the State of Italy.
In early July there were loud rumors, Pope Francis would dissolve the territorial abbey  in the course of a general reorganization of the Italian dioceses, and thus the diocese of Monte Cassino and annex it to the territory of the neighboring diocese Sora-Aquino-Pontecorvo. It's an opportunity to nullify it provided by the current vacancy of Abbatial and Episcopal See. The official announcement of the resolution was expected on 19 July. At that time it was said that Pope Francis had already signed the corresponding decree. Already in 1986 it had come under the new Concordat for "merging" several dioceses, a term with the removal of some dioceses was accomplished. Decisions of bureaucrats who hardly took into account the historical connectedness of individual regions and the impact  on the spiritual life.

Plans to Abolish the Diocese

In addition to Monte Cassino in Italy there are more venerable abbeys, which were expropriated by the state and then brought from the Church to territorial abbeys, to protect the monastic communities and monasticism, which have an essential spiritual and cultural contribution to evangelization.
In the Vatican, the plans were initially shelved, after a "secular rumble" was heard from Brussels. A representative of the EU is to have apparently expressed the idea in a "joke" to convert the Abbey of Monte Cassino or any part thereof in a branch of the European Union for human rights, as soon as it could be removed by  Concordat from the status of a territorial abbey and thus of special protection. Since the Abbey is owned by the state, the Republic of Italy could make a unilateral reclassification.

Brussels "Jokes"

The Brussels flights of fancy on the secularist side was taken seriously enough in the Church at the Vatican - so far successfully - to push for a postponement of a repeal of the diocese. In Rome it has forced the maintaining of the Concordat protected right, to protect the abbey, the abbot and the monks, but especially this icon and this lighthouse of Western Christianity and Christian culture against the appetite of some EU-secularists. It is feared that a "Human Rights Center" would, under the current EU, mean an ideological distortion of the human rights idea, with the risk to go to the expense of human dignity and thus to contradict the Christian principles. So the real risk is seen that a center of Christianity could be converted by the EU among others into a center of the new non-Christian gender ideology.
The Abbey of Monte Cassino is suffering from the same ailment as other religious communities in Europe. On 12 June 2013 Pope Francis had accepted the resignation of the then only  51 year old Arch-abbot Pietro Vittorelli. The Abbot, reigning since 2007,  had asked  for a resignation after a heart attack due to health reasons. Since then, the Abbeyhas been  waiting for the election of the 191st successor to Saint Benedict. "The Lord may at any time allow a fundamental renewal of the monastic community. But if the state has other purposes for the Monastery, it is lost to the church," says Messa in Latino .

Archbishop Gänswein: A "Militant Secularism" is Spreading

Archbishop George Gänswein kritsiert "militant secularism", the spreading in the EU
(Einsiedeln) Curia Archbishop Georg Gänswein has found clear words a week before the elections to the European Parliament. He criticized the lack of commitment of politicians to oppose discrimination against Christians in Europe.
The Prefect of the Papal Household  of Pope Francis and personal secretary of Benedict XVI. spoke on Sunday in the Benedictine Abbey of Einsiedeln in Switzerland at the annual pilgrimage of the Pontifical Relief and Works Agency, Church in Need. [Kirche in Not] Archbishop Gänswein mentioned that media and politics condemn every form of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, but does not apply the same standards in relation to the discrimination against Christians in Europe.
The German Curial  Archbishop lamented that in the EU, on  May 25th,  a new European Parliament will be chosen which will spread a "militant secularism". Certain circles want the Christians in Europe be "muzzled" and push religion to the margins, says Gänswein. However, he EU is pursing suicide in this, because Europe will not survive, says the Archbishop, when it renounces its Christian roots.

Budapest Defenestration

Köszönöm Magyarország! (Danke Ungarn!)

Hungary's anti-Communist, Patriotic and Christian party, Jobbik, appropriated US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland's comment: "%#$@ the EU!" -- to make a rallying cry against the deeply hated EU-Dictatorship.

An EU Dictatorship Should Not Follow the Soviet One:  A Hungarian MP Throws
the Symbol of Hungary's Repression Out of the Parliament of Budapest. [Photo youtube-

Hungary's Right to Self-Determination

The Member of the Hungarian Parliament, Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy of the "Movement for a Better Hungary" (Jobbik), removed on 13February 2014 from the meeting hall of the Hungarian parliament a foreign body, which is apparently represented by an EU flag.
The blue color of this away from the Hungarian Parliament dirt flap with twelve yellow pentagrams reminiscent of the blue of the "Blue Masonry" and the Johannismaurerei [Lower Lodges], which forms the basis for the hell of Hochgradfreimaurerei [High Level Masonry].

Parliament Totalitarianism

Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy had his microphone simply turned off during his speech in the Hungarian Parliament  because he did not, like all the other pseudo-deputies, grovel for the Eurototalitarian intercessions like all other European pseudo-parliaments.
This courageous and freedom-loving husband, Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy also had his microphone turned off, because freedom of expression has no place in  totalitarian Europe.
Then Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy left the Chamber, together with a blue dirty mud rag (see video ) and disposed of this power mad  hazardous waste on the foul stinking dung heap of history.

The Budapest Defenestration

The Budapest Defenestration unleashed. Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy still in the Chamber:
"We need to apply the right to self-determination. To break with the EU, I call on all to defend themselves against the colonization. The people should fight back and remove those symbols that have to do with this colonization ... "
Members of Parliament, the microphone was turned off. Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy continued without the microphone:

"Long live Hungary! Long live the homeland! We remove the icon of high treason! "

Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy removed one of those blue mud rags stored in the Hungarian Parliament,  which is nothing more than a symbol of colonialism.

"By Defenestration  we carry the EU flag to its proper place. This flag has no place in the sacred buildings of the legislature. We won't  give any ground to the restriction of the Hungarian freedom  ... I ask everyone in this country to defend the freedom of Hungary and to remove the symbols of colonialism, slavery and loss of sovereignty  ... Attention, a dangerous object is flying out of the window! "
Dr. Tamás Gaudi-Nagy threw the blue mud rag with twelve yellow pentagrams from a window of the Hungarian Parliament.

The Cross Remains in Polish Parliament -- Kulturkampf Against Anti-Christian Powers

(Warsaw) A Warsaw court rejected the demand to remove the crucifix hanging in the Polish parliament. The Christian symbol will continue to hang in the parliament hall in Warsaw, because it "violates no law." The atheistic party Ruch Palikota (Palikot Movement) still wants to continue their anti-Christian campaign and are now calling Strasbourg against the judgment.
"Even if the cross is a religious symbol, you can not ignore its importance it has as a symbol of national identity and  Polish culture" and thus "no law is violated." The Warsaw court justified its ruling that the crucifix still hangs in the Polish parliament.

Anticlerical Palikot Movement Provoked Fierce Culture War

The decision ends an ongoing dispute since 2011, which the annticlerical, left-liberal Palikot Movement had launched (for backgrounds and origin of the Palikot Movementsee the report hangover to Poland-election - "Not a good day for the protection of life" - Anti-Clerical Phantom has a Face   ). It calls for the removal of the cross from the hall of the Sejm , the first chamber of the Polish Parliament. The Cross with Corpus had been installed on the initiative of Catholic deputy after the fall of the communist regime.
The Palikot party, named for an entrepreneur,  now wants to bring their anti-Christian campaign before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. It argues that the presence of a cross in Parliament "violates the right to freedom of conscience and religion".
The Polish judiciary is of a different opinion and rejected the application. It recognizes the Christian symbol's special historical and cultural significance, which is an integral part of the Polish identity, especially as concerns the role of the Catholic Church over the past two centuries for national unity, especially during the Second World War and the Soviet occupation to in 1989.

Prime Minister Tusk welcomes Court Decision

The decision was also welcomed by the liberal-conservative Prime Minister. Donald Tusk. He stressed that the secularism of a state should not be expressed in fruitless arguments about the placement of crosses in public space. One survey found that 71 percent of Poles are in favor of maintaining the cross in parliament. However, the aggressiveness of anti-Christian groups leads to the cross are becomingthe focus of  more and more of legal proceedings. The atheists strive in numerous methods in the hope of someday finding a judge who will make a breach in their favor.
The Palikot Movement concluded in 2013 with representatives of the post-communist left alliance Europa Plus, which wants to compete with left-liberal, pro-EU positions in the European elections in 2014 and offers itself as an alternative choice  for the entire left spectrum of the left-wing Liberals to the Greens and Communists .

Historical praise of the Russian Orthodox Patriarch  for Polish Church

40 percent of Polish Catholics regularly attend Sunday mass. 90 percent of Poles regard the Catholic Church as a central factor, "unifying  the people." Recently, even the Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill I of Moscow praised  the "Catholic Church of Poland" because it is "at the forefront of the European Union and  defends Christian values".An award of extraordinary importance in view of the old historical enmity that has existed between Catholic Poland and Orthodox Russians.

Father Nicholas Gruner Addresses European Parliament Concerning Consecration of Russia

Edit: a kind reader just sent us this link.

PRESS RELEASE

FATHER NICHOLAS GRUNER and CHRISTOPHER A. FERRARA INTERVENE AT EUROPEAN UNION PARLIAMENT CONCERNING CONSECRATION OF RUSSIA

October 24, 2012

Strasbourg, October 24, 2012 — On October 23, 2012 Father Nicholas Gruner of the Fatima Center in Canada and Catholic attorney and author Christopher A. Ferrara of the United States appeared at the headquarters of the EU in Strasbourg, France to speak in support of a motion for a declaration by the EU Parliament calling upon Pope Benedict XVI to carry out the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The motion is being sponsored by two members of the Parliament of the European Union, the Honorable Mario Borghezio and the Honorable Lorenzo Fontana, who invited Father Gruner and Mr. Ferrara to speak in its support at the time of its official introduction.

The motion refers to the threat of "great danger at the present time to world peace and the serenity of all European peoples" and notes that "the Blessed Virgin Mary has promised a long period of prosperity and peace, if and only if, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia in a solemn and public manner, as precisely specified by Her in the Message of Fatima."

The motion provides for a declaration by the EU Parliament formally requesting that "His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI... fulfill the will of the Queen of Heaven" by performing the Consecration in order to address European and world problems.

Speaking before the international press corps in the press hall of the EU Parliament headquarters in Strasbourg, Father Gruner and Mr. Ferrara made presentations in support of the measure, including a discussion of the content, undeniable authenticity, and absolute urgency of the Fatima Message for the Church and humanity at large. They were introduced by MPs, Borghezio and Fontana, who appeared with them at the press conference.

"This was a God-given opportunity to advance the cause of Our Lady of Fatima in a forum whose deliberations will have considerable impact at the Vatican. MEPs. Borghezio and Fontana are to be commended for their courageous defense of the Blessed Virgin before a hostile world. I pray the motion passes and the EU Parliament calls upon the Pope to do his duty," said Father Gruner.

"I believe we succeeded in making a case for the Consecration of Russia that would appeal even to rational non-believers, who have nothing to lose by voting in favor this measure," said Mr. Ferrara.

The motion has been lodged with the EU Parliament as an official legislative document and will become part of the public record of EU proceedings. It has already attracted the signatures of a growing number of additional sponsors in the Parliament, including members from Italy, Austria and Ireland.

Turkish Government Aims to Destroy Oldest Monastery in the World

Today there is a continuing legal process in effect, while the the over 1,600 year old Monastery fights for its bare survival.  by Marianne Bruckl.
The Threatened Monastery

(kreuz.net) On 26th of January 2011 the systematic dispossession of a Syrian-Orthodox Monastery -- built in the year 397 -- Mor Gabriel in Tur Abdin in south east Turkey began

Today the courts in Ankara gave the national treasury of the district town of Midyat and the Turkish forestry office a significant portion of the Monastery property.

Will the bell of Mor Gabriel be silenced forever? The hope of the Monks is dwindling.

First on the 26th of January the decision of the Supreme Court in Ankara hit like the crack of a whip.

24 Hectares of the Cloister propety would fall in the judgement for the national treasury of the district town Midyat -- irrespective of the documents which proved the Monasteries claims of ownership.
Click on the Slideshow with 14 Photos

The Second Blow

On the 20th of February the highest court in Ankara struck the Monastery with a second blow.

A further 27.6 Hectares of land within and outside of the Monastery wall were given to the office of forestry in Midyat.

A judgment which is a further consequence of an unfair legal process which is aimed on the state confiscation of the Christian heritage and dechristianization.

The Third Blow

The occupants fear the worst, that there will be still further cases filed against them.

So, Kuryakos Ergün -- who is the president of the Monastery foundation of Mor Gabriel -- must appear in front of the court yet again.

The complaint reads that the Monastery wall is not up to code and is built on state owned forest.

The question at present is the judgement of the highest court in Ankara for the destruction of the defensive wall.

One fears that Ergün will be punished.

The Deadly Blow

Despite the protests of European politicians, church respresentatives and human rights organizations against the arbitrariness of the process, Turkey remains intransigent.

The court decision of February 20th entitled the State to the outline of the Monastery wall.

It makes it clear that Turkey wants to drive the old established Christians out of the country.

Without a protective wall, the fruit and vegetable gardens carefully cultivated by the Monastery will be destroyed by herds of cattle which come from the surrounding Kurdish villages.

The surrender of the almost 1700 year old Monastery is an inevitability.

Thus the way would be clear for the Turks to assume one of the last witnesses of Christianity before the Islam.

They established themselves in Anatolia only in 622.

At the same time Turkey wants into the EU

Mor Gabriel is for the Christians in Southeast Anatolia a religious refuge, which up until now has drawn the faithful and tourists from all over the world.

If the Monastery is lost, then it is forseeable that the remaining Christians, who are about 2,500 - 3,000 Assyrians will also soon lose their homeland.

What is so strange is that the Turkish Premier Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was attempting to promote and strengthen the efforts of Turkey to enter the European Union.

He himself felt discriminated against in this instance -- he claims.

Erdogan criticized that it is against International Law to disallow Turks living in Germany of their national culture.

Actually these efforts, which have taken place in Germany, must also extend to protect Christians in Turkey.

If he attempts to prevent the dispossession of the Monastery of More Gabriel he could show, that his intentions are sincere.

He must protect the freedom of Christians in Turkey, to allow Aramaic language instruction and Christian religious instruction and allow priests to be educated.

Whoever seeks the recognition of human rights abroad, must promote them in his own land as well.

Because the protection of the rights of minorities, civil liberties and religious freedom is not a one way street.

It is a duty for everyone -- even for Erdogan.

Catholic Led Nationalist Party Scores Big in Finland

Editor: At last, someone with sense leading the way. Is he a man in the mold of Gabriel Garcia Moreno, who led Ecudor last century, or perhaps another Antonio Salazar? Btw, if you don't like those wikipedia articles, we encourage you to change them, especially when they attempt to force Marxist reality down people's throats; thanks.

Timo Soini: "We are not extremists, so you can sleep safely"

A nationalist party has taken nearly a fifth of votes in Finland's general election, the electoral commission says.

The True Finns finished just behind the conservative NCP and the Social Democrats on around 19%.

While the Social Democrats have called for changes on EU bail-outs, including the planned Portuguese rescue, True Finns opposes the plans altogether.

79 African Nations Resist EU-Homosexual Pressure

Brüssel (kath.net) The 79 Nation group of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States AKP-States sent a letter to the European Parliament which has indicated that they would be forced not to renew their economic agreements on the point of "sexual orientation".  It concerns a contract for economic development assistance, in which there is a clause regarding "non-discrimination" as a condition respecting of sexual origination.  The AKP-States successfully resisted the inclusion of the clause.

The AKP- States request the EU in this letter, "it is urgent that, above all to attempt to keep distance, in those things which we will not freely participate."  These economically developing nations further inform that "the partnership can only work and fully function, if both partners take the necessary respect for social differences and cultural diversity".

The European Parliament in turn had generated a resolution in December in which it reminded Africa that "the EU is responsible for more than half the development assistance and Africa's most important business partner."  Later the resolution makes the admonishment that free sexual orientation is an important category of no-discrimination.
